In Class
Class time will consist of lecture, notes, projects, presentations and other activities. Updated grades will be posted regularly throughout the semester so that students will know exactly how they are performing in this class.
Our purpose is not only to prepare students for higher education but for immediate work within society. It is a partnership between the school, parent and the student. It is an agreement to provide the highest quality education in exchange for commitment and hard work from our students. Your involvement in your son’s/daughter’s education is very important. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Attendance and Missed Work Policies
• If a student is absent from class, they have “24 hours
to make up work for each absence… (e.g. students will have two
days to hand in work if he/she missed two days of school)” according
to the RRHS Student Handbook.
• It is the student’s responsibility to get the make up
work from the teacher and turn it in within the allowed time.
• Students who do not make up work, or do not make it up within
the required time period, will receive 0% for the work missed.
• Please note that regular attendance is critical.
Procedures
1. When the bell rings at the beginning of class students must be in
their assigned seat and ready to learn.
2. If a student uses the computer, they must adhere to the Acceptable
Use Policy in the Student Handbook as well as any additional guidelines
Mrs. Robinson has implemented. Students will receive one warning at
the beginning of this course and if they choose not to follow the computer
guidelines they will have a referral written for each infraction.
3. This learning environment is everyone’s responsibility and
all students will help the class maintain an ideal environment.
• Students will respect their peers, their instructors and themselves.
• Students will not use inappropriate language or participate
in any horseplay in the classroom.
4. When the final bell rings at the end of class students will wait
for Mrs. Robinson to dismiss class.
• Students must wait in their assigned seats until dismissed.
